A man was taken into custody Saturday in Fresno on suspicion of driving under the influence and hit-and-run.<\/p>\n

Officers responded just after 5 p.m. to the area of Thomas Avenue and First Street following reports of a hit-and-run crash.<\/p>\n

Fresno Police said the suspect\u2019s vehicle became inoperable and stopped further down the block.<\/p>\n

Officers detained the 28-year-old driver and determined he was over the legal blood alcohol limit.<\/p>\n

During the investigation, authorities learned the suspect had struck four unoccupied parked vehicles between Belmont Avenue and Third Street, and Thomas Avenue and First Street.<\/p>\n

The suspect was cited and later released at the scene to immediate family members, police said.<\/p>\n
