A 2007 Saturn Aura and a 2021 Jeep Wrangler were traveling southbound on Long Beach Boulevard when the 17-year-old boy driving the Saturn tried to make a lane change and collided with the Jeep.<\/p>\n
A boy driving the Saturn and his passenger, a 16-year-old girl, were transported to the hospital in critical condition.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, authorities were notified that the girl had died.<\/p>\n
The driver of a 2021 Jeep Wrangler, who was not hurt and remained at the scene.<\/p>\n
Police said speed and distracted driving are being investigated as factors in the crash.<\/p>\n
