{"id":189416,"date":"2026-02-23T01:20:11","date_gmt":"2026-02-23T01:20:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/189416\/"},"modified":"2026-02-23T01:20:11","modified_gmt":"2026-02-23T01:20:11","slug":"mayor-bass-lion-dancers-and-more-march-thru-dtlas-chinatown-to-celebrate-year-of-the-horse","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/189416\/","title":{"rendered":"Mayor Bass, Lion Dancers and More March Thru DTLA\u2019s Chinatown to Celebrate Year of the Horse"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dozens of dragons and lions were unleashed Saturday on Los Angeles\u2019 Chinatown as the 127th Annual Golden Dragon Parade hit the streets to celebrate the Year of the Horse.<\/p>\n<p>Hundreds of spectators watched as Mayor Karen Bass and other dignitaries passed by in classic convertible cars and watched local school marching bands and martial arts groups perform.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s theme was \u201cUnity in the Community,\u201d  a nod to the diversity of Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<p>The parade and festivities, put on in part by the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, began at 1 p.m. Saturday on North Hill Street, went through Bernard Street and ended on Broadway at Temple Street.
