Audacy is expanding Andy Hawk\u2019s leadership portfolio in Sacramento, tapping the longtime programmer to oversee two of the market\u2019s heritage rock brands.<\/p>\n
Hawk has been named Brand Manager of classic rock \u201c96.9 The Eagle\u201d KSEG and \u201c98 Rock\u201d KRXQ, adding those stations to his current duties as Brand Manager of \u201cAlt 94.7\u201d KKDO. In the newly expanded role, Hawk will guide content strategy, talent, operations and branding across all three stations, consolidating oversight of Audacy\u2019s rock lineup in the market.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Hawk takes on oversight of the two stations following the exits last week of \u201c98 Rock\u201d Assistant Brand Manager\/morning host Paul Marshall and KSEG Assistant Brand Manager\/afternoon host Ken Anthony. Myki Angeline, \u201c98 Rock\u201d night host, was also let go in the restructuring.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hawk has more than 25 years of radio experience and deep roots at \u201c98 Rock,\u201d where he began as an intern in 1997. He later hosted \u201cLocal Licks\u201d and served as a traffic and weather anchor from 2009-15 before moving into programming leadership.<\/p>\n
In 2016, Hawk was elevated to Alternative Regional Brand Manager for Audacy. Under his leadership, \u201cAlt 94.7\u201d rose to the top spot among Adults 25-54. He also hosts the station\u2019s afternoon drive show, which ranks No. 1 in its time slot, the company notes in the release.<\/p>\n
