Two people were arrested after authorities said they broke into a big rig while it was stopped in traffic \u2014 a brazen and apparently bungled burglary caught on video.<\/p>\n
The video, shared by the Chino Police Department, shows two vehicles stopping at a red light in front of and behind a big rig on Friday. The car in front stops noticeably short of the intersection and doesn\u2019t move even after the light changes.<\/p>\n
As the suspects approach the back of the truck, the driver gets out and runs to confront them. It was around this time that, according to the driver, the suspects severed the lock on his trailer.<\/p>\n
At this point, the vehicle in front of the rig drives away.<\/p>\n
As the driver walks toward the vehicle behind the rig, a van, a person can be seen fleeing the scene on foot. The van then speeds away. <\/p>\n
The truck driver called the police to report the suspects cut the trailer lock and stole computer equipment, according to a statement by the Chino Police Department<\/a>. Officers later pulled the van over on an on-ramp to the 60 Freeway and arrested two suspects, identified as residents of Los Angeles and Cudahy, police said. No other information was immediately available.<\/p>\n \u201cDuring a search of the vehicle, officers located burglary tools and recovered the stolen property, valued at approximately $7,000, which was returned to the company,\u201d the Police Department wrote on social media.<\/p>\n
