The clip captures cheering as Liu makes her way through the terminal.<\/p>\n<p data-v-2899190a=\"\">Liu, who grew up in Richmond but who skates at the Oakland Ice Center, also was spotted at Trobocco in Alameda, which posted photos of the 20-year-old dining at their Italian restaurant, adding what an incredible honor it was to have her there.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-2899190a=\"\">Liu, who learned to skate at the Oakland Ice Center, won Team USA\u2019s first Olympic gold medal in women\u2019s singles figure skating since 2002.<\/p>\n<p data-v-2899190a=\"\">On Tuesday, Oakland Mayor Barbara Lee announced the intention to celebrate Liu, announcing in an Instagram post, &#8220;The City of Oakland is planning a community-wide celebration to honor Olympic gold medalist and Oakland\u2019s hometown hero Alysa Liu!&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-2899190a=\"\">The exact date has not been set.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-2899190a=\"\">Liu is also expected to appear at the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ktvu.com\/news\/oaklands-lunar-new-year-parade-set-draw-thousands-chinatown\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"> Oakland Chinese Lunar Parade on Saturday.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>    <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ktvu.com\/tag\/us\/ca\/alameda-county\/oakland\" class=\"tags-tag\" data-v-2899190a=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Oakland<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ktvu.com\/tag\/olympics\" class=\"tags-tag\" data-v-2899190a=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Olympics<\/a> <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"OAKLAND, Calif. &#8211; Olympic champion Alysa Liu is back in the Bay Area.
