{"id":193522,"date":"2026-02-25T19:40:08","date_gmt":"2026-02-25T19:40:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/193522\/"},"modified":"2026-02-25T19:40:08","modified_gmt":"2026-02-25T19:40:08","slug":"childrens-discovery-museum-in-san-jose-announces-its-new-ceo-the-mercury-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/193522\/","title":{"rendered":"Children\u2019s Discovery Museum in San Jose announces its new CEO \u2013 The Mercury News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Children\u2019s Discovery Museum in San Jose <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdm.org\/meet-our-new-president-ceo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">announced Wednesday<\/a> that longtime nonprofit executive Linda Tsai will be its new president and CEO starting March 16.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve dedicated my career to strengthening organizations that open doors for children and families,\u201d Tsai said in a statement. \u201cLeading this beloved institution is both a professional calling and a personal joy, and I look forward to expanding its reach so more young people can build confidence, think creatively, and see themselves as capable of shaping the world around them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/0om2fgFLXdo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">video introduction<\/a>, Tsai said her first connection with the museum started as a member when she would bring her four children to visit. \u201cThe museum helped shaped their curiosity and creativity, and it is my distinct privilege to help the museum shape its future,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" lazyautosizes lazyload\" alt=\"Linda Tsai will take over as the president and CEO of the Children's Discovery Museum on March 16, 2026. (Photo courtesy of the Children&#8217;s Discovery Museum)\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Monica Nayar, board chair of the Children\u2019s Discovery Museum, said Tsai brings both exceptional leadership experience and a heartfelt connection to the downtown learning center.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a parent and longtime supporter, she understands the powerful impact of hands-on learning,\u201d Nayar said. \u201cThe Board is thrilled to welcome her and is confident she will build on the museum\u2019s strong legacy while inspiring the next generation of innovators and strengthening our community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tsai previously held fundraising positions at the Tech Interactive and the Silicon Valley chapter of the American Heart Association. More recently, she worked for the Cloudera Foundation and the Patrick J.
