SISKIYOU COUNTY, Calif. \u2014 A traffic stop in Siskiyou County led to the seizure of about 61 pounds of methamphetamine and the arrest of a Southern California man, Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) Officers said.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, Feb. 19, at about 1:30 p.m., an SCSO sergeant assigned to the Domestic Highway Enforcement Team stopped a 2013 Kia Optima for multiple violations. During the stop, the sergeant observed \u201cnumerous criminal indicators,\u201d which led to a search of the vehicle.<\/p>\n

During the search, deputies found approximately 61 pounds of methamphetamine in the trunk of the Kia, according to SCSO.<\/p>\n

A 40-year-old man from Anaheim, Calif., was arrested on suspicion of felony possession and transportation of controlled substances for sale. He was transported to the Siskiyou County Jail and booked.<\/p>\n
