McDavid skated with the Oilers at morning skate in Anaheim ahead of Wednesday night’s clash with the Ducks (Sportsnet, Sportsnet+, 10:30 p.m. ET \/ 8:30 p.m. MT). <\/p>\n
It marks the first time that the Oilers captain skated with the team since helping Canada to a silver medal at the Winter Olympics. <\/p>\n
Both McDavid and Leon Draisaitl are expected to be in the lineup against the Ducks. <\/p>\n
McDavid led the 2026 Winter Olympics in scoring with two goals and 11 assists. His 13 points set the record for most points of any player in a single Olympic tournament with NHL participation. He was also picked as the tournament’s MVP and best forward.<\/p>\n
With Sidney Crosby unavailable due to injury, the Oilers captain also donned the ‘C’ for the Canadians in both their semifinal win over Finland and gold-medal game loss to the U.S.<\/p>\n
After taking on the Ducks Wednesday, the Oilers continue their California road trip with stops in L.A. on Thursday and San Jose on Saturday. <\/p>\n
