MILPITAS, Calif. (KGO) — In the South Bay, giving back came in the form of hundreds of cereal boxes.<\/p>\n

We were at the Stratford School’s Beresford Square campus in Milpitas Wednesday where organizers conjured up an interesting way to celebrate all the donations: a cereal box domino run.<\/p>\n

Students collected a total of 950 boxes, lined them up, and then knocked them down.<\/p>\n

As fun as this looks, they hope the youngsters come away from it with a valuable life lesson.<\/p>\n

“What they’re learning is how one simple act of kindness can help others and something as simple as donating a box of cereal could just help those in need. And starting at such a young age, we want to help to start build empathy and compassion,” said Ashley Lee at Stratford School.<\/p>\n

The cereal boxes are going to the Milpitas Food Bank. The class that collected the most boxes gets a pizza party.<\/p>\n
