\u201cI grew up on a farm, and American values are all about freedom and, you know, fighting off the bully so it was kind of a no-brainer,\u201d TJ told Fox40 just 12 miles from the frontline.<\/p>\n
On this harrowing anniversary, he says there\u2019s no time for sadness \u2014 all efforts are focused on eliminating the Russian threat.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey continue to take people\u2019s land, take people\u2019s lives, and it\u2019s just not right morally, no matter how you look at it,\u201d TJ continues. \u201cI just want people to stand with us and to continue supporting us here, politics aside, you know, this is, it\u2019s just the human thing to do.\u201d<\/p>\n
Organizers of a rally in support of Ukraine on the West Steps of the California Capitol shared this sentiment.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey are fighting for democracy globally; the world cannot afford for Ukraine to lose,\u201d said Nancy Fisher, co-founder of Yolo for Ukraine. \u201cIf Ukraine loses, the march will continue.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s sad day on the on the one hand, but on the other hand, this day shows how strong Ukrainian people are, how strong the nation is,\u201d Noshyn said.<\/p>\n
