(Photo courtesy of Belmont Shore Business Association).\n<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#\" class=\"icon-enlarge mng-gallery-fullscreen-expand\" aria-label=\"Expand fullscreen slideshow\">Expand<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Burke Mercantile has also donated to numerous nonprofits and community organizations since its founding, including Algalita Marine Research &amp; Education, Long Beach Community Table, Long Beach Fresh, the Arts Council for Long Beach, and more, according to its website.<\/p>\n<p>The boutique\u2019s new location is located at 191 Park Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>The 2nd &amp; Park Hair Collective has also officially moved into the neighborhood as of Saturday, Feb. 21.<\/p>\n<p>The Hair Collective specializes in \u201chigh-skill barbering and cosmetology services,\u201d according to its website, offering precision cuts, color, and styling to its clients. The business also says it\u2019s focused on building out community and neighborhood strength through its services and offerings.<\/p>\n<p>The business is located at 4726 Second Street.<\/p>\n<p>Bixby Knolls<\/p>\n<p>The Bixby Knolls Improvement Association has introduced a new series of Olympics-themed pole banners along its Atlantic Avenue shopping district.<\/p>\n<p>Each banner highlights an Olympic ring color, a country, sport, and corresponding local businesses\u00a0 that reflect those international cultures.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery detail was chosen with the intention of connecting global sports with our local identity,\u201d the Improvement Association wrote on social media.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"The Bixby Knolls Improvement Association has launched a series of...\" class=\"size-article_inline\"   src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/GRG-L-BIZBEAT-COL-0226-01.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The Bixby Knolls Improvement Association has launched a series of new pole banners honoring the Olympics and Long Beach\u2019s ties to international cultures. (Photo courtesy Bixby Knolls Improvement Association).\n<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#\" class=\"icon-enlarge mng-gallery-fullscreen-expand\" aria-label=\"Expand fullscreen slideshow\">Expand<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The new red banner, for example, represents Japan\u2019s national flag and honors the country\u2019s status as a powerhouse in gymnastics \u2014 while paying homage to Japanese restaurants in Bixby Knolls including Sushi West, Hiro Nori, Sushi Nikkei, Teburo, and Ramen Hub.<\/p>\n<p>The green banner was inspired by Mexico\u2019s national flag, and pays tribute to the country\u2019s 14 Olympic boxing medals, while highlighting various Mexican businesses in the area including Lola\u2019s Mexican Kitchen, Ancestros, La Taqueria Brand, Tony\u2019s Kitchen, Mama Juana\u2019s, Patricia\u2019s Restaurant, Blue Burro, and Semillitas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMake a day of it; shop small, dine local, and don\u2019t forget to look up,\u201d the organization wrote. \u201cSpecial thanks to Nguyen Lawyers for sponsoring our banners and helping us proudly celebrate our district.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cali Chilli<\/p>\n<p>Last week, my family enjoyed lunch at Cali Chilli, an Indian fusion eatery led by Michelin Star chef Manjunath Mural.<\/p>\n<p>In the morning hours, the restaurant is occupied by Pancake Long Beach, which serves pancakes and American breakfasts to the morning crowd.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Cali Chilli, an Indian-fusion restaurant located across from Heartwell Park...\" class=\"size-article_inline\"   src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/GRG-L-BIZBEAT-COL-0226-04.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Cali Chilli, an Indian-fusion restaurant located across from Heartwell Park on Viking Way. (Photo by Jo Murray).\n<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#\" class=\"icon-enlarge mng-gallery-fullscreen-expand\" aria-label=\"Expand fullscreen slideshow\">Expand<\/a><\/p>\n<p>But later in the day, the cozy restaurant \u2014 which is located across from Heartwell Park on Viking Way \u2014 transforms into an eatery offering a fusion of traditional Indian flavors with California ingredients.<\/p>\n<p>Cali Chilli calls itself an \u201cunauthentic Indian Restaurant,\u201d and they are just that. The food is sourced locally from California, and the flavors are mild and more suited to a SoCal palate.<\/p>\n<p>Chef Mural offers myriad unique dishes, including butter chicken pot pie, his signature filet mignon, and vindaloo.<\/p>\n<p>There are also plenty of small plates options, and I\u2019d recommended ordering several of those alongside a few entrees to share with family or friends.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Last Saturday, Feb. 21, Belmont Shore welcomed two new businesses to the community.
