Answers will be published each week.<\/p>\n<p>District 4 covers the area from 19th Avenue to Ocean Beach, Golden Gate Park to Lakeshore. It includes the Sunset, Parkside and Lakeshore neighborhoods.<\/p>\n<p>Among the five candidates running to be the next District 4 supervisor, one has lived there since 1978, while the newest arrival just moved to the district less than six months ago.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A San Francisco supervisor\u2019s job is part legislating and part <a href=\"https:\/\/missionlocal.org\/2025\/08\/sf-sunset-joel-engardio-recall-legislative-record\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">constituent services<\/a>. In District 4, residents certainly care a lot about speed bumps on the streets and fallen trees after a storm. They have lobbied their supervisors on everything from beautifying Sunset Boulevard to removing a \u201cno left turn\u201d sign at Sloat Boulevard and 34th Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>This week, we asked the candidates: What have you already done for District 4?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Gee-640x640.png\" alt=\"Cartoon illustration of a woman with long dark hair, glasses, and earrings, wearing a black blazer and light shirt, set against a yellow circular background.\" class=\"wp-image-835693\" style=\"width:262px;height:auto\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Natalie Gee<\/p>\n<p>Job: District 10 legislative aide<\/p>\n<p>Age: 40<\/p>\n<p>Residency: Renter, living in District 4 since 2021<\/p>\n<p>Transportation: Driving, walking and Muni<\/p>\n<p>Education: Bachelor\u2019s degree from San Francisco State University<\/p>\n<p>Languages: English, Cantonese<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve been working to make D4 safer, more affordable, and more welcoming since before I could vote. <\/p>\n<p>At Lowell [High School], I led neighborhood beautification projects through JROTC [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sfusd.edu\/school\/abraham-lincoln-high-school\/faculty-depts\/jrotc\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Junior Reserves Officer Training Corps<\/a>]. At City Hall, I protected funding for services residents rely on, including food pantries, youth programs, and legal aid. <\/p>\n<p>During COVID-19, I helped secure hazard pay for our heroic grocery workers who were risking their lives to keep us fed. During the PG&amp;E blackouts, I worked with small businesses to file claims. <\/p>\n<p>My campaign has never been about headlines or photo ops. Alongside my fellow co-owners, we provided healthy, affordable food and kept our doors open through the uncertainty of COVID, serving neighbors when it mattered most.<\/p>\n<p>In 2024, I founded Sunset Solos, bringing solo performers to the Outer Sunset\u2019s Sealevel gallery. Can understand Cantonese, Mandarin and Toishanese, but limited fluency.<\/p>\n<p>I have been serving the Sunset neighborhood since the 1990s with the Chinese American Voter Education Committee, from registering Sunset voters to fighting for language access.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I also served on the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Commission from 2005 to 2012. At the Recreation and Park Commission, I served as chair of the Capital Committee, where I designed, refurbished, funded and built many parks and recreational facilities in the Sunset, such as Sunset Recreation Center, West Sunset Playground, McCoppin Square Park, Sava Pool, and many others.
