Jonathan Majors<\/a> is ready to stage his comeback \u2014 by teaming up with the Daily Wire. <\/p>\n

The actor is reportedly filming his first movie since being found guilty<\/a> of assaulting and harassing a former girlfriend in 2023. According to Deadline<\/a>, production on the untitled action movie from the Daily Wire and Bonfire Legend begins this week in South Carolina. <\/p>\n

Written and directed by \u201cRun Hide Fight\u201d filmmaker Kyle Rankin, the movie is described as \u201cin the vein of \u201980s and \u201990s action movies \u2018Red Dawn\u2019 and \u2018Toy Soldiers,\u2019 \u201d per the outlet. In addition to starring in the film, Majors will also serve as an executive producer, the entertainment outlet reported. <\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re not going to BELIEVE what we\u2019re doing,\u201d right-wing pundit and Daily Wire co-founder Ben Shaprio said in a Thursday post on X<\/a> sharing the news. On Facebook<\/a> he claimed, \u201cThis movie is going to be WILD.\u201d <\/p>\n

Majors was a Hollywood star on the rise<\/a> when he was arrested<\/a> on charges of assault, strangulation and harassment in March 2023. The \u201cCreed III\u201d and \u201cAnt-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania\u201d actor was swiftly dropped from projects, his management company and his public relations team. Once poised to be the next central villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he was also dropped by Marvel Studios<\/a> following his conviction. <\/p>\n

Majors avoided jail time<\/a> and has since married<\/a> fellow actor Meagan Good after a brief engagement.<\/p>\n

In addition to Shapiro, who will be producing for the Daily Wire, Dallas Sonnier will be producing for Bonfire Legend. Neither company has shied away from courting disgraced Hollywood talent trying to revive their careers. <\/p>\n

Among the Daily Wire and Bonfire Legends\u2019 previous joint projects is \u201cTerror on the Prairie,\u201d the 2022 western starring Gina Carano<\/a>. The \u201cMandalorian\u201d actor was fired by Disney in 2021<\/a> for \u201cher social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities\u201d that the company called \u201cabhorrent and unacceptable.\u201d (Carano filed<\/a> a lawsuit against Disney alleging wrongful termination in 2024.
