Two separate, politically charged events are set to converge at Disneyland in Anaheim this Saturday, a pro-Trump gathering inside the park and a counter-event outside its gates, drawing attention to the theme park ahead of what could be an eventful day for visitors.<\/p>\n

According to LAist<\/a>, both gatherings are organized entirely by outside groups, similar in structure to other unofficial park events like Dapper Dan Day<\/a> and Bats Day<\/a>. Park officials declined to respond to requests for comment.<\/p>\n The 805 Patriots, a political group based in the 805 area code region of Southern California, organized the event they’re calling “Patriots in the Park.” The group describes it as a peaceful, family-oriented day at the park for conservative supporters of President Trump. Attendees are encouraged to wear red hats, shirts, and accessories permitted under Disneyland’s rules of entry<\/a>.<\/p>\n The group has been clear that the event is not a protest or demonstration. “It is NOT a march, protest, demonstration or political action. Attendees will enter the park as everyday guests and are expected to follow all Disneyland guidelines,” the group said in a statement. Signs, flags, and disruptive conduct are prohibited under Disneyland’s rules.<\/p>\n The Brown Berets of California, a Chicano community organization, is planning a counter-event called “Disneyland Raza Invasion” outside the park’s main entrance on Saturday from 7 to 11 a.m. As reported by LAist<\/a>, organizers described the gathering on social media as a “peaceful, united presence” intended to “stand against hate and intimidation.” The group has spoken out against President Trump administration policies, including immigration raids.<\/p>\n
