The Broncos travel to San Jose State to compete against the Spartans, Arizona State and Sacramento State. The quad will start at 3 p.m. MT on March 1.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nFOLLOW THE MEET: Live scoring for the meet will be available for free on Virtius. Both links can be located on BroncoSports.com.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nSCOUTING SAN JOSE STATE: San Jose State has an NQS of 195.545, ranking second in the Mountain West. The Spartans have the league&#8217;s top NQS on vault (48.995) and beam (48.930). In their Feb. 6 meeting, San Jose State defeated Boise State, 195.475-195.350. The Spartans have totaled 13 MW weekly awards this season, led by five-time winner Sophie Patterson (two vault, three freshman).<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nSCOUTING ARIZONA STATE: Arizona State enters with an NQS of 195.440, ranking 32nd in the nation. The Sun Devils&#8217; top NQS is a 49.065 on floor, led by all-arounder Kimberly Smith (9.855), who also leads the squad on vault (9.820) and bars (9.850). Head coach Jay Santos is in his 10th season at the helm, leading the team to seven NCAA Regional berths and winning a pair of Pac-12 Coach of the Year awards.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nSCOUTING SACRAMENTO STATE: Sacramento State scored a season-best 194.550 in its last meet (Feb. 22), bringing its NQS to 193.775. The Broncos and Hornets met in Boise on Jan. 30, with Boise State winning, 195.250-193.425. Kara Houghton boasts the top NQS scores on the team, leading the squad on floor (9.805) and bars (9.790).<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nBROUGHT IT ON BARS: In the first rotation at Utah State (Feb. 20), Boise State posted a season-best 49.050 on bars. <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/mahleea-werline\/13251\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13251\" target=\"_blank\">Mahleea Werline<\/a> led the way with a season-high 9.850, with <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/carly-buell\/13239\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13239\" target=\"_blank\">Carly Buell<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/noelle-ball\/13238\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13238\" target=\"_blank\">Noelle Ball<\/a> tallying season-bests of their own at 9.825. <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/kristina-shchennikova\/13249\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13249\" target=\"_blank\">Kristina Shchennikova<\/a> added another 9.825, then <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/kylee-hamby\/13241\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13241\" target=\"_blank\">Kylee Hamby<\/a> rounded out the rotation with a 9.725. This was the first time the Broncos scored 9.825 or better on four bars routines since the 2025 Mountain West Championships.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nBEAM QUEENS: Boise State had its best rotation of the season at the Feb. 15 Metroplex Challenge, scoring 49.125 on beam. <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/miraya-nero\/13255\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13255\" target=\"_blank\">Miraya Nero<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/kristina-shchennikova\/13249\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13249\" target=\"_blank\">Kristina Shchennikova<\/a> led the way at 9.900, both posting career-highs and becoming the first Broncos to tally a 9.900 in any event this season. This was the first time the team had multiple 9.900+ beam scores in a meet since the 2024 Mountain West Championships. <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/sydney-kho\/13243\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13243\" target=\"_blank\">Sydney Kho<\/a> (9.875) and <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/brantley-lucas\/13246\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13246\" target=\"_blank\">Brantley Lucas<\/a> (9.700) matched their career-highs while <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/isabella-delarosa\/13253\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13253\" target=\"_blank\">Isabella Delarosa<\/a> rounded out the lineup with a 9.750.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nWEEKLY AWARD WINNERS: Following their performances at the Feb. 15 Metroplex Challenge, <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/miraya-nero\/13255\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13255\" target=\"_blank\">Miraya Nero<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/kristina-shchennikova\/13249\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13249\" target=\"_blank\">Kristina Shchennikova<\/a> were named Mountain West Co-Beam Specialists of the Week, with Nero adding MW Co-Freshman of the Week. Nero has three MW weekly awards this season, most on the team. This was Shchennikova&#8217;s first weekly honor of the year and ninth of her career, with four of those being MW Beam Specialist of the Week.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nFANTASTIC FRESHMAN: <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/miraya-nero\/13255\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13255\" target=\"_blank\">Miraya Nero<\/a> was also named Mountain West Co-Freshman of the Week after her Jan. 16 performance at BYU, where she won the all-around crown with a 39.075 and tied for second on beam with a 9.825. She posted a career-high 9.850 on floor and 39.100 in the all-around in the Jan. 30 home quad, Boise State&#8217;s best all-around score since 2021 (<a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/staff\/hope-masiado\/509\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"509\" target=\"_blank\">Hope Masiado<\/a>). She was the vault runner-up at the Metroplex Challenge on Feb. 15, scoring 9.850, Boise State&#8217;s highest mark on the apparatus this season. At Utah State, she captured her second all-around crown, scoring 39.000. She is the first Boise State freshman to win two all-around titles since 2017 (Courtney McGregor).<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nKRISTINA KEEPS IT GOING: Kristina\u00a0 Shchennikova won a share of the bars crown in Boise State&#8217;s Feb. 6 quad, recording a 9.875, Boise State&#8217;s highest individual score of the year. It gave the sophomore her first-career win on the apparatus. She has four overall wins in her career, posting three on beam last season. She is the only gymnast on the Boise State roster with a title in multiple events in her career. With her 9.675 floor debut at the Feb. 15 Metroplex Challenge, she joins all-around gymnast <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/miraya-nero\/13255\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13255\" target=\"_blank\">Miraya Nero<\/a> as the only Broncos to compete in three or more events this season. <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/sydney-leitch\/13245\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13245\" target=\"_blank\">Sydney Leitch<\/a> is the only other Bronco to compete in three or more events in her career (bars, beam, floor).<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nSEASON-BESTS AT THE X: In addition to a team-high overall score (195.350), Boise State notched a season-best score on vault (48.850) in the Feb. 6 home quad. The vault score was obtained despite only having five routines, with all five scoring 9.750 or higher. Additionally, <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/kristina-shchennikova\/13249\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13249\" target=\"_blank\">Kristina Shchennikova<\/a> won the bars crown with a 9.875 while <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/kylee-hamby\/13241\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13241\" target=\"_blank\">Kylee Hamby<\/a> (9.850) matched her season-high and <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/carly-buell\/13239\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13239\" target=\"_blank\">Carly Buell<\/a> posted a 9.800 on the apparatus.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nFLOURISHING ON FLOOR: Boise State posted a season-best 49.075 on floor in the Jan. 30 home quad, led by <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/blake-pascal\/13247\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13247\" target=\"_blank\">Blake Pascal<\/a>, who finished second with a 9.875. Pascal has scored 9.800 or higher and led the Broncos in five meets this year. <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/miraya-nero\/13255\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13255\" target=\"_blank\">Miraya Nero<\/a> added a career-high 9.850 while <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/delaney-reeves\/13248\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13248\" target=\"_blank\">Delaney Reeves<\/a> posted a 9.825, the second-best mark of her career.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nLOCAL LEGENDS: Freshmen and Meridian, Idaho natives <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/isabella-delarosa\/13253\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13253\" target=\"_blank\">Isabella Delarosa<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/sydnie-whipple\/13256\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13256\" target=\"_blank\">Sydnie Whipple<\/a> have made an early impact on their hometown team. Delarosa competed at home for the first time on Jan. 30, scoring 9.825 on beam to earn a share of the event title, the first of her career. The following week, she posted a career-high 9.800 on vault, Boise State&#8217;s highest score in the Feb. 6 home quad. Whipple earned a 9.800 on beam in her second-career routine at the Feb. 20 dual at Utah State.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nKHO-BOOM: Senior <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/sydney-kho\/13243\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13243\" target=\"_blank\">Sydney Kho<\/a> captured her first vault title of the year and second of her career at Air Force on Jan. 23, tallying a season-high 9.825. The senior has appeared in Boise State&#8217;s vault lineup in all but two meets since joining the Broncos, completing 42 routines on the apparatus.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nCHAMPIONSHIP STAGE: One season after winning the inaugural Mountain West Championships, Boise State won the 2025 MW regular season crown. The Broncos had the league&#8217;s top NQS on bars (49.240), beam (49.080) and floor (49.105) last year. This season, the Broncos will host the Mountain West Championships in ExtraMile Arena.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nBIRD BACK WITH THE BRONCOS: Head coach <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/coaches\/tina-bird\/1414\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"1414\" target=\"_blank\">Tina Bird<\/a> is in her 19th season at the helm, serving as co-head coach from 2008-19 before becoming the lone head coach in 2020. From 1990-2007, she was an assistant coach for Boise State. Bird was a gymnast at Boise State from 1986-89, holding the school&#8217;s floor record for four years. In her 36 years on staff, Boise State has produced 34 NCAA Regional appearances, 15 conference titles and 13 All-Americans. Bird has earned the conference coach of the year eight times, including the last two awards in the Mountain West.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nALL-MOUNTAIN WEST RETURNERS: Boise State returns three All-Mountain West selections from last season, led by Co-Freshman of the Year <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/kristina-shchennikova\/13249\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13249\" target=\"_blank\">Kristina Shchennikova<\/a>, who was also a second-team selection on bars. She earned MW Freshman of the Week five times and MW Beam Specialist of the Week three times throughout the 2025 campaign, winning three beam titles during her rookie year. Also coming back for the Broncos are two All-MW floor selections. First-team honoree <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/blake-pascal\/13247\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13247\" target=\"_blank\">Blake Pascal<\/a> returns for her fifth year and second-team honoree <a href=\"https:\/\/broncosports.com\/sports\/womens-gymnastics\/roster\/bridget-kemp\/13242\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13242\" target=\"_blank\">Bridget Kemp<\/a> is back for her sophomore campaign.
