(KGET) \u2014 Several Cal State Bakersfield alumni were honored at Thursday night\u2019s Hall of Fame event.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">This year was extra special as it marks the 20th anniversary of honoring the \u201cRunners\u201d who have gone on to change the world.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The Hall of Fame inductees included:<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Jennifer Barrera, president and CEO of the California Chamber of Commerce<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Janie Flores, a dedicated retired educator<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">John Mendiburu, Kern County Superintendent of Schools<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Fred Plane, an esteemed adjunct professor<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">David Zulfa, Kern County Superior Court judge<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cIt\u2019s good for us to recognize all of the alumni that have come out of CSUB with the great things they have achieved in their careers, it\u2019s a chance to bring them back to CSUB and honor the stepping stones in the beginning of their career and lives,\u201d said Tyler Moyer, president of the Alumni Association Board.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Congratulations to all of them on this well-deserved honor.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
