ANAHEIM \u2014 Ducks rookie Beckett Sennecke led yet another multi-goal comeback, creating Chris Kreider\u2019s game-winner with 13 seconds left in overtime after assisting on consecutive tallies that closed a two-goal gap en route to a 5-4 victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Friday night at Honda Center.<\/p>\n

Sennecke led a two-on-one rush, dangling and dragging his way to the net to create a tap-in for Kreider. That sent the fans home with free chicken and smiles on their faces after the Ducks\u2019 ninth such rally this season. That\u2019s four more than any NHL team in 2025-26. The Ducks are just the sixth team in NHL history to record nine such wagon-circling efforts in 58 games or fewer, per team PR guru Alex Gilchrist.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe just have that belief in ourselves that we\u2019re never out of it, that\u2019s the biggest thing in these comeback wins is that we never think we\u2019re out of it, and we know we can score goals,\u201d said Sennecke, after the Ducks\u2019 11th victory in the past 13 games.<\/p>\n

Jacob Trouba had a goal against the team that drafted and developed him. Leo Carlsson cashed in on the power play, with Sennecke assisting on not only Kreider\u2019s winner but also Carlsson\u2019s marker and another by Pavel Mintyukov, who added an assist on Ryan Poehling\u2019s tally. Luk\u00e1\u0161 Dost\u00e1l made 29 saves. The Ducks were without Frank Vatrano (broken shoulder), Mikael Granlund (upper-body injury), Ryan Strome (illness) and Troy Terry (upper-body injury).<\/p>\n

Former Kings Alex Iafallo and Gabriel Vilardi each scored for Winnipeg. Iafallo also assisted on Elias Salomonsson\u2019s first career goal. Cole Perfetti and Logan Stanley both had two assists, including one apiece on Kyle Connor\u2019s goal. Connor tacked on an assist. Connor Hellebuyck, who won an Olympic gold medal with Team USA alongside Connor after winning the Hart and Vezina trophies last year, halted 35 pucks.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s an unbelievable goalie, obviously you saw that at the Olympics, and there\u2019s no easy way around it,\u201d Jackson LaCombe said of his Team USA cohort. \u201cWe did a good job of getting pucks to the net and (creating traffic).\u201d<\/p>\n

Before Kreider\u2019s winner, Winnipeg sent the game into overtime with a six-on-five goal. A blocked shot created chaos in the Ducks zone, where Perfetti located the puck and swept it to Connor for an equalizer with 1:22 remaining in regulation.<\/p>\n

Mintyukov won a board battle and passed to Alex Killorn, who found Poehling. He traversed three lines and beat three defenders en route to a goal off a strong individual effort, his sixth as a Duck to give the hosts their first lead.<\/p>\n

Winnipeg had reassumed a two-goal lead 87 seconds into the final frame only to see it closed down 5:05 later by the Ducks\u2019 power play and erased completely halfway through the period.<\/p>\n

Sennecke ripped a low-flying shot off Hellebuyck\u2019s pad that came straight to Mintyukov for a layup, his seventh goal of the season.<\/p>\n

Before that, it was Carlsson tallying from the doorstep with the extra man. Another low, hard attempt from Sennecke created a rebound in tight that LaCombe batted to Carlsson for his 20th goal of the campaign, matching Kreider\u2019s total.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s one of the best goalies in the world. You\u2019re probably not going to beat him clean, so you\u2019ve just got to create rebounds and get bodies at the net, and that\u2019s how we scored those two goals,\u201d Sennecke said.<\/p>\n

Salomonsson deposited his first NHL goal in picturesque fashion with a far-side bullet from just above the right circle. The goal was ill-gotten, as the officials missed Perfetti tripping Mason McTavish, a play that led directly to the scoring sequence.<\/p>\n

The two sides swapped scores in the second period, with the Jets taking their initial two-goal lead at the 2:25 mark before the Ducks yanked a goal back with 41 seconds to play.<\/p>\n

The Ducks\u2019 fourth line toiled low in the zone, and after the Jets hustled to avert the threat there, Trouba\u2019s ostensibly harmless fling from the far corner found the net, appearing to hit Winnipeg defenseman Ville Heinola\u2019s stick first. Trouba\u2019s 10th goal put him one shy of his single-season high.<\/p>\n

\u201cScoring that goal late in the second period was huge for us,\u201d Ducks coach Joel Quenneville said.<\/p>\n

Winnipeg had converted on the power play, isolating Trouba against two attackers. He could only watch as Connor feathered a pass to Vilardi for a one-timer from between the hashmarks.<\/p>\n

The first 20 minutes featured a fight between heavyweights Ross Johnston and Luke Schenn as well as some stellar goaltending from Dost\u00e1l during a Jets power play, including an athletic cross-crease stop on Connor.<\/p>\n

Yet the Jets snagged the only goal of the period, when Iafallo struck 84 seconds into the match.<\/p>\n

Dylan Samberg started a set breakout for the Jets, then received the puck back and transported it through the neutral zone. He gained the Ducks\u2019 zone and dished to Perfetti, whose cross-ice pass set up Iafallo\u2019s snipe from high in the right circle.<\/p>\n

Ultimately, however, the Ducks surmounted not one but two two-goal deficits for the second straight game after doing so against Edmonton on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe fans got their money\u2019s worth,\u201d Winnipeg coach Scott Arniel said. \u201cWe took a two-goal lead twice, and gave that up.\u201d<\/p>\n
