This includes installation of construction signage, detour and wayfinding signs, temporary striping configurations, establishing work zones, and placement of K-rail along the right side of Oak Street.<\/p>\n<p>Traffic impacts will be limited during this early setup period. Additional advisories will be issued.<\/p>\n<p>The initial set of work activities will occur at the following locations:<\/p>\n<p>Northbound I-880 Oak Street Off-Ramp<\/p>\n<p> Right-Turn Lane Closure \u2013 Preparation Work Beginning March 2<br \/>Closure:Right-turn lane only on the NB I-880 Oak Street off-ramp<\/p>\n<p>    Long term closure of the Right Turn Lane<\/p>\n<p>Beginning: March 2, 2026<\/p>\n<p>Traffic Control:<\/p>\n<p>    Left-turn lane remains open<br \/>\n    Middle lane remains open (through \/ left-turn movement)<br \/>\n    Right-turn lane only is closed<\/p>\n<p>Work Includes: Outside widening of the off-ramp <br \/>Motorists should expect delays approaching the ramp and follow posted signage.<\/p>\n<p>Upcoming Traffic Impact:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Monday, March 2nd, Shoulder closure from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM <br \/>NB Oak Street Off Ramp Full Closure will occur nightly <br \/>starting Monday Night, March 2nd to Friday, March 6th from <br \/>7:00 PM to 8:00 AM <br \/>to install temporary stripping, K-rail and signage.<\/p>\n<p>Oak Street Improvements (East Side)<\/p>\n<p>Preparation work begins March 2, 2026; K-rail will be installed on the east side of Oak Street. <br \/>Location: Oak Street between 3rd Street to 9th Street <br \/>Impacts: Lane reductions and temporary parking restrictions on the east side of Oak Street<\/p>\n<p>Work Includes:<\/p>\n<p>    Roadway and corridor improvements<br \/>\n    Sidewalk and curb ramp improvements (East side)<br \/>\n    Temporary pedestrian path\/ADA accommodations<br \/>\n    Parking Restriction<\/p>\n<p>Upcoming Traffic Impact:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Installation of temporary pedestrian barriers (K-rail and water barriers) <br \/>scheduled for Tuesday, March 3rd to Friday, March 6th <br \/>between 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Parking Notices will be placed 72 hours prior to the start of the work<\/p>\n<p>Jackson Street \/ 5th Street Improvements<\/p>\n<p>Preparation work begins March 2, 2026 <br \/>Location: Jackson Street at 5th Street <br \/>Impacts: Lane shifts and intermittent closures <\/p>\n<p>Work Includes:<\/p>\n<p>    Intersection and circulation improvements<br \/>\n    Sidewalk and curb ramp improvements at the southwest corner<br \/>\n    Temporary pedestrian path during construction<\/p>\n<p>5th Street Corridor Improvements<\/p>\n<p>Preparation work begins March 2, 2026 <br \/>Location: between Alice Street and Harrison Street <br \/>Impacts: Localized traffic control and lane reductions<\/p>\n<p>Work Includes:<\/p>\n<p>    Pavement and roadway improvements<br \/>\n    Sidewalk and curb ramp improvements between Harrison Street and Alice Street<br \/>\n    Temporary striping and pedestrian adjustments<\/p>\n<p>Harrison Street Improvements<\/p>\n<p>Preparation work begins March 2, 2026 <br \/>Location: between 4th street and 5th street ( East Side) <br \/>Impacts: Temporary lane reductions<\/p>\n<p>Work Includes:<\/p>\n<p>    Roadway and safety enhancements<br \/>\n    Sidewalk and curb ramp improvements between 4th Street and 5th Street (East side)<br \/>\n    Temporary pedestrian path during construction<\/p>\n<p>Mariner Square Loop Improvements (City of Alameda)<\/p>\n<p>Preparation work begins March 2, 2026 <br \/>Location: Mariner Square Loop <br \/>Impacts: Intermittent lane closures and traffic control<\/p>\n<p>Work Includes:<\/p>\n<p>    Roadway and circulation improvements<br \/>\n    Sidewalk and curb ramp improvements between Webster Street and Willie Stargell Avenue<\/p>\n<p>Webster Tube Walkway Improvements<\/p>\n<p> Construction Beginning First Week of April 2026 <br \/>Anticipated Start: April 1, 2026 <br \/>Schedule: Sundays to Thursday Nights from 10:00 PM \u2013 5:00 AM <br \/>Duration: 6 months <br \/>Impacts: Pedestrian detours and lane restrictions <br \/>A separate traffic advisory will be issued once final closure schedules and traffic control details are confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>Stay Tuned for Updates<\/p>\n<p>The OAAP will be constructed in phases, and traffic impacts will evolve as work progresses.
