SACRAMENTO, Calif.\u2014Mikaela Pitts<\/a> and Kaviana Jurries<\/a> shared the vault title Friday night as the San Jos\u00e9 State women\u2019s gymnastics team scored a 196.000 in a tri-meet at Sacramento State with California.<\/p>\n

Pitts and Jurries each scored a 9.875 on vault to share the event title. This is Pitts\u2019 fourth vault title and Jurries\u2019 fifth vault title this season.
\nThe Spartans scored a 48.800 on bars to start the meet, led by Jurries with a 9.800.
\nSophie Patterson<\/a> led the beam team in the second rotation with a 9.925, the top Spartan score of the evening. Patterson is the fifth Spartan in school history to record a 9.925 on beam.
\nThe beam team finished with a 49.150, tying for the eighth-best beam score in school history. Genesis PeBenito<\/a> added a 9.875, and Mia Nelson<\/a> had a career-high 9.850.
\nThe floor team scored a 48.975, led by Kaylee Larson<\/a> with a season-best 9.850.
\nThe vault team then finished the meet with a 49.075, the fourth time this season they have scored a 49.000+. Pitts and Jurries anchored the team with their 9.875, followed by Patterson and Ava Johnson<\/a> at 9.800, and Devyn Valuch<\/a> at 9.725.
\nPatterson finished third in the all-around with a 39.225, her best score of the season.
\nSan Jos\u00e9 State scored a 196.000 for the first time, the 18th-best score\u00a0in school history.<\/p>\n

UP NEXT \u2013 San Jos\u00e9 State finishes the home portion of the schedule this Sunday, March 1, hosting a quad meet on Senior Day with Arizona State, Boise State and the Hornets. The meet begins at 2 p.m., and doors open at 12:30 p.m. to the Provident Credit Union Event Center. Children 12 and younger are free. Those unable to attend in person can watch on the Mountain West Network.<\/p>\n
