{"id":198458,"date":"2026-02-28T21:23:08","date_gmt":"2026-02-28T21:23:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/198458\/"},"modified":"2026-02-28T21:23:08","modified_gmt":"2026-02-28T21:23:08","slug":"sacramento-arrest-after-fatal-shooting-near-dominos-pizza","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/198458\/","title":{"rendered":"Sacramento arrest after fatal shooting near Domino\u2019s Pizza"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>                <img class=\"responsive-image\" width=\"1140\" height=\"641\"  alt=\"Generic illustration showing handcuffs and a fingerprint index\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Sacramento Police Department arrested a suspect in connection to a shooting last week in South Natomas, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Ray Howard, 27, was arrested on homicide and firearm-related charges, <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/sacpolice\/status\/2027594015068328066?s=46\">the Police Department announced on social media.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Police received a call on Feb. 20 shortly before 9 p.m. <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sacbee.com\/news\/local\/crime\/article314787680.html\">stating that there was a shooting<\/a> near Domino\u2019s Pizza on West El Camino Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>Officers found one male victim with a gunshot wound, according to Police Department spokesperson Officer Allison Smith. She said the victim was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<p>Howard was booked Friday into the Sacramento County Main Jail, where he is ineligible for bail, online jail records show.
