February may not be New October, what with Valentine’s Day at the heart of the month, but a few frightful SoCal celebrations have a way of making a cameo while winter is still wintering.<\/p>\n
Look to the Spooky Swap Meet<\/a>, a Half-O-Ween festivity that will alight at Heritage Square Museum over the final weekend of April 2026. Tickets for the shop-around happening, which also gives guests the chance to trick-or-treat among the historical destination’s Victorians, went on sale earlier in the month.<\/p>\n And another Heritage Square Half-O-Ween event, or pair of events, also materialized, or at least tickets did, in February: Street Food Cinema’s Boo-ze, Bites, and Frights: Half-O-Ween<\/a> evenings, which will bring “Sinners” and “28 Days Later” screenings to the Arroyo Parkway-close attraction on May 1 (the night for “Sinners”) and 2 (“28 Days Later” is the film).<\/p>\n Now one of the grandest and ghoul-iest conventions in all the land is making a showing, and just hours before February concludes: Midsummer Scream<\/a>, the mega Halloween\/horror expo, is throwing a quick and not-so-creepy presale event.<\/p>\n The pre-sale code is HALLOWEEN, because of course.<\/p>\n
