This week in Los Angeles, Chef Accursio Lota\u2019s Dora Ristorante in La Jolla earned Tre Forchette \u2013 Three Forks \u2013 from Gambero Rosso\u2019s 2026 international guide, the highest honor from Italy\u2019s leading authority on global Italian dining. Dora was the only San Diego restaurant<\/a> to receive the distinction this year.<\/p>\n

Sister restaurant Cori Pastificio Trattoria in North Park was also recognized with Due Bottiglie \u2013 Two Bottles \u2013 for excellence in its wine program, marking a rare dual international honor for one local operator.<\/p>\n

What Tre Forchette Actually Means<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re not deep in the Italian dining world, here\u2019s the context. Gambero Rosso\u2019s Tre Forchette is often compared to Italy\u2019s answer to the MICHELIN star system. It\u2019s awarded to restaurants that demonstrate excellence across cuisine, service, and wine.<\/p>\n
