Orr went 6-for-13 with four extra-base hits and six RBIs against the Lopes, including his first two home runs of the season.

Senior Rylan Evans rides a four-game hitting streak into Tuesday’s tilt with SJSU, coming off a 5-for-5 hitting performance in the series finale at GCU. Evans is now hitting .286 through 10 games on the year, which is third on the team behind Orr and senior Jake Tandy. Evans also played as the walk-off hero in Pacific’s only other mid-week contest so far this season, defeating Sacramento State at home by an 8-7 score thanks to his run-scoring single in the bottom of the ninth.

The Tigers’ pitching staff has been led by the arms of redshirt junior Garret Plata and redshirt junior Zach Todd with a combined 44 strikeouts in 28.1 innings. Redshirt junior Carson Revay has been the lefty specialist out of the Pacific bullpen, holding down the fort with a pair of saves along with his 2.63 earned run average in 13.2 innings of work. Pacific has been effective with striking out its opponent early on in the season, owning a 10.44 strikeout-per-nine ratio, which ranks second among West Coast Conference schools.

SJSU plays its first home midweek contest of the season tomorrow after dropping three of four to WCC opponent Saint Mary’s last weekend. The Spartans began the year taking two of three from Long Beach State in its season-opening series and holds a 2-2 record at home with wins over San Francisco and Saint Mary’s.

Alex Fernandes will be a key Spartan to look out for on Tuesday as he hits a team-high .415 batting average with a dozen runs. Rocco Caballero is the RBI leader for SJSU with nine to his name in 11 games. The Spartans’ staff owns a 6.19 earned run average across 100.1 innings.

Pacific and SJSU go head-to-head for the 163rd all-time meeting between the two programs that date back to 1967. The Tigers have won four of the last five meetings over the Spartans, including a split during the 2025 season. Pacific won the most recent game on April 1, 2025, by a 7-2 margin. In that contest, Evans played a key part in igniting the Tigers’ timely offense, blasting a home run in a 2-for-4 night at the plate with two runs. Evans also manufactured a double that sparked a three-run bottom of the eighth inning that sealed the win over SJSU. Revay would pick up the win that day, pitching an inning with a pair of strikeouts.

Tuesday’s game will be streamed live on the Mountain West Network with a scheduled 6:05 p.m. first pitch.

Tigers Tickets

Tickets for upcoming events can be purchased through the PacificTigers.com tickets tab, or by calling the Box Office at 209-946-2474.
