O\u2019Melveny has expanded its antitrust bench with the addition of two veteran trial lawyers, strengthening the firm\u2019s capabilities in high-stakes competition matters across the United States and internationally.<\/p>\n

The firm announced that Diana Aguilar and Lauren Weinstein have joined as partners in its Antitrust & Competition Practice Group, based in San Francisco and Washington, DC, respectively.\u00a0According to a statement<\/a>, Aguilar arrives from the U.S. Department of Justice, while Weinstein joins from litigation boutique MoloLamken. Together, they bring more than 25 years of combined experience handling complex antitrust litigation, investigations, and enforcement actions.<\/p>\n

Per Bloomberg, both attorneys are widely regarded as rising leaders in the competition law space. Their practices span a range of industries, including technology, financial services, transportation, media and entertainment, and energy. The move is expected to enhance O\u2019Melveny\u2019s ability to represent clients facing regulatory scrutiny and contentious antitrust disputes in the United States and abroad.<\/p>\n

The hires mark the latest step in a broader expansion effort at the firm. According to Bloomberg, O\u2019Melveny has added 46 lateral partners since 2023, including 19 in litigation. Aguilar and Weinstein are also among five partners to join the Antitrust & Competition Practice Group within the past year. Their arrival follows the 2025 additions of Brussels-based partners St\u00e9phane Frank and Vanessa Turner, as well as the recent promotion of Washington, DC partner Brian Quinn.<\/p>\n
