(KFSN) &#8212; PG&amp;E announced the lowering of electric rates for the 5th time since January 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The utility says combined with those previous decreases, rates are now 13% lower, with the average customer paying about $25 less per month.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The announcement, however, comes as PG&amp;E proposes a new four-year rate hike beginning in 2027 to fund infrastructure, grid modernization and wildfire safety.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The proposal would potentially increase bills by $144 annually.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC eTIW sUzSN \">The California Public Utilities Commission is currently reviewing the proposal, with final decisions expected early next year.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2026 KFSN-TV.
