SACRAMENTO, Calif. \u2014 Sacramento police<\/a> are searching for a suspect after a double stabbing in the Downtown Commons area left one man dead Monday night, raising renewed concerns among downtown business owners and employees about safety in the area.<\/p>\n Officers responded just before 9:45 p.m. to the 400 block of K Street after receiving reports of a stabbing, police said. When they arrived, they found a man and a woman who had both been stabbed. Both were taken to a hospital, but despite lifesaving efforts, the man was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n Investigators are reviewing surveillance video and interviewing witnesses as they work to identify the person responsible. No suspect information has been released, and authorities have not provided an update on the woman\u2019s condition.<\/p>\n The violence has left some who work nearby uneasy.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s horrible.
