President Donald Trump loyalist and Kennedy Center boss Richard Grenell<\/a> is raging again after another performance group canceled its event at the once-renowned arts venue.<\/p>\n

The San Francisco Ballet<\/a> announced it had withdrawn from a five-day run at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts scheduled for May, prompting a pointed response from Grenell, 59.<\/p>\n

\u201cProfessional artists should perform for everyone \u2014 not just for people they agree with politically,\u201d the Trump appointee told The New York Times<\/a> on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The Daily Beast has reached out to the San Francisco Ballet for comment. In a statement to the New York Times, the company said: \u201cSF Ballet looks forward to performing for Washington, D.C., audiences in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n

For his part, Grenell has repeatedly appeared<\/a> to grow enraged as artists scrap shows at the venue, citing concerns about Trump and his administration.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou just made it political and caved to the woke mob who wants you to perform for only Lefties,\u201d Grenell posted on X<\/a>, channelling MAGA talking points, after Grammy-winning bluegrass performer B\u00e9la Fleck withdrew from a planned concert at the venue in January.<\/p>\n

Critics, however, argue that it was Trump himself who politicized the venue when he slapped his name on the arts institution\u2014a move that reportedly contributed to ticket sales plummeting since his takeover.<\/p>\n

As audiences continued to thin, Trump\u2014who appointed himself as the venue\u2019s chairman\u2014has leaned on programming tied to himself and his family, such as January\u2019s premiere of Melania, the first lady\u2019s vanity documentary.<\/p>\n

Still, Trump announced last month that he is shuttering the Kennedy Center for a MAGA makeover amid mounting cancellations. In a Truth Social post, he wrote that he would \u201ctemporarily\u201d close the center on July 4 for \u201cConstruction, Revitalization, and Complete Rebuilding.\u201d The overhaul, he said, would last two years.<\/p>\n

Dismissing the capital\u2019s premier performing arts center as \u201ctired, broken, and dilapidated,\u201d the president pledged to remake it into a \u201cnew and beautiful Landmark.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, several members of the Kennedy family have blasted the president\u2019s remaking of the arts institution. <\/p>\n
