The California Hall of Fame\u2019s newest inductees include actor Jamie Lee Curtis and former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, along with athletes, politicians and America\u2019s first all-women mariachi ensemble.<\/p>\n
The California Museum, Gov. Gavin Newsom and First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom announced the 19th class of the hall of fame on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis year\u2019s class embodies the very best of California \u2014 creativity, resilience, and a spirit of community,\u201d Newsom said in the announcement. \u201cThese honorees remind us that innovation and courage flourish when people are lifted up by those around them.\u201d<\/p>\n
The California Hall of Fame was launched in 2006 and recognizes history-making Californians \u201cwho embody the state\u2019s spirit of innovation and have changed the state, the nation, and the world.\u201d<\/p>\n
The inductees will be honored in a ceremony at the California Museum at 1020 O St. in Sacramento on March 19.<\/p>\n
