Broadway San Jose<\/a>\u00a0has just announced its 2026-27 season.<\/p>\n

And fans of blockbuster hit musicals will likely be thrilled with the results.<\/p>\n

Broadway San Jose\u2019s season lineup<\/a> consists of a half dozen shows \u2014 including \u201cBeauty and the Beast\u201d and \u201cThe Phantom of the Opera\u201d \u2014 all of which take place at the Center for the Performing in San Jose. The company is also offering three add-on productions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe 2026-27 season is a celebration of everything our audiences love about Broadway San Jose<\/a> \u2014 welcoming back beloved favorites while introducing some of the most exciting new hits to arrive from Broadway,\u201d says Broadway San Jose General Manager Gretchen Feyer. \u201cWe can\u2019t wait to share these unforgettable stories, spectacular productions, and thrilling performances with our community.\u201d<\/p>\n

The season lineup kicks off with a brand new production of \u201cBeauty and the Beast\u201d Sept. 8-13. It\u2019s Disney\u2019s first North American touring production of the smash hit musical in over a quarter of a century.<\/p>\n

Next up is Andrew Lloyd Webber\u2019s legendary \u201cThe Phantom of the Opera\u201d Oct. 7-18. This \u201cPhantom\u201d is being billed as a \u201crevitalized new production\u201d from iconic producer Cameron Mackintosh, who has been involved with this Webber play from its very inception in the mid\u2019-\u201980s.<\/p>\n

Need some classic rock (done up Broadway style)? Then look no further than a new production of \u201cThe Who\u2019s Tommy,\u201d bringing \u201cPinball Wizard\u201d and other classic rock favorites to town Nov. 17-22.<\/p>\n

As the calendar turns to 2027, Broadway San Jose has two big shows based on hit movies.<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s first production of the new year is \u201cThe Bodyguard,\u201d based on the smash Whitney Houston\/Kevin Costner vehicle of the same name from 1992. So, yeah, get ready to belt out \u201cI Will Always Love You\u201d Feb. 2-7.<\/p>\n

Next up is the story \u201cMrs. Doubtfire,\u201d based on the Robin Williams hit from 1993, which runs Feb. 16-21.<\/p>\n

The season lineup closes out with yet another movie-related offering \u2014 \u201cThe Notebook\u201d \u2014 based on the legendary 2004 romantic drama starring Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. \u201cThe Notebook\u201d runs May 4-9, 2027.<\/p>\n

The 2026-27 Broadway San Jose season also includes three special add-on productions. These are the 30th anniversary tour of \u201cRiverdance\u201d (April 6\u20137, 2027), the 25th anniversary tour of \u201cMamma Mia!\u201d (June 8\u201313, 2027); and a two-week return engagement of \u201cHamilton\u201d (July 7\u201318, 2027).<\/p>\n

Season subscriptions, ranging in price from $250 to $783, are now on sale and can be purchased online at broadwaysanjose.com<\/a> or by calling (866) 395-2929. There is also an interest-free payment plan available, starting at as low as $30 per month.<\/p>\n

Tickets for individual shows will go on sale at a later date.<\/p>\n
