\n The 25-acre Yamaha campus is being marketed as a redevelopment opportunity.\n <\/p>\n
Yamaha Motor Corporation USA, the American arm of Tokyo-based\u00a0Yamaha Motor Co., is selling its 25-acre Cypress<\/a> headquarters.<\/p>\n The sale is part of the relocation of Yamaha’s U.S. group\u00a0to Kennesaw, Georgia. The relocation will take place\u00a0from the end of 2026\u00a0until the end of 2028<\/a>, the manufacturer announced\u00a0at the end of February.\u00a0<\/p>\n This is the last phase of a move that has taken place in phases since 1999, when the company’s marine business relocated to Kennesaw. Its motorsports business\u00a0followed in 2019.\u00a0<\/p>\n The only workers left at the Cypress facility were corporate and financial services employees.\u00a0<\/p>\n The property at\u00a06555 Katella Ave.\u00a0has been the U.S. headquarters of\u00a0the company for nearly five decades.\u00a0<\/p>\n An Avison Young<\/a> team\u00a0led by\u00a0Patrick Barnes<\/a> and Paul Clark is marketing the property as an investment and redevelopment opportunity. There is no starting price listed. The property is \u201cbeing marketed on a best offer basis,\u201d according to a release from AY.\u00a0<\/p>\n Yamaha\u00a0intends to lease back the entire property through Dec. 31, 2028, allowing a buyer to\u00a0maintain cash flow during the transitional period.<\/p>\n The site\u00a0includes three buildings \u2014 one industrial, one flex and one office \u2014 totaling approximately 279K SF\u00a0on an entire city block with three points of access from Katella Avenue, Holder Street and\u00a0Yamaha\u00a0Way.<\/p>\n \u201cThis offering provides investors and developers the ability to control a significant infill site in one of the most historically supply\u2011constrained industrial markets in the county,\u201d Barnes said in a statement.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Courtesy of Avison Young The 25-acre Yamaha campus is being marketed as a redevelopment opportunity.
