Marzan was assigned to the 103rd Sustainment Command in Des Moines, Iowa, and was part of a group of six U.S. service members who became the first Americans killed in the conflict with Iran.Marzan was at the scene of the attack on Sunday, and positive identification of his remains will be completed by the medical examiner, the Pentagon said. The soldiers were serving at what Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth described as a \u201ctactical operation center that was fortified,\u201d when struck by a projectile. A 54-year-old United States Army reservist from Sacramento is believed to have died from an Iranian drone strike in Kuwait<\/a>, the Pentagon announced on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert M. Marzan was assigned to the 103rd Sustainment Command in Des Moines, Iowa, and was part of a group of six U.S. service members who became the first Americans killed in the conflict with Iran.<\/p>\n
