Sadat Mousa, 51, was charged Wednesday with with two counts each of felony vandalism with hate crime enhancements, felony vandalism of a place of worship with hate crime enhancements, one count each of felony placement of a swastika and one count of misdemeanor vandalism, accoridng to the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office. <\/p>\n
Prosecutors say Mousa used a gold can of spray paint and markers to vandalize the Central Seventh Day Advenist Church, a mailbox, a utility box and a nearby parking meter Saturday morning. <\/p>\n
On the church, Mousa wrote that Jewish people should be killed and called Mexicans a homophobic slur, according to prosecutors. <\/p>\n
Police later found that Mousa owned a carpet with a swastika and an inscription calling Hitler “a real hero,” and a social media account expressing the same antisemtic and homophobic sentiments, according to prosecutors. <\/p>\n
In a video found by authorities, Mousa says Jewish and gay people are not real or normal human beings, according to prosecutors. <\/p>\n
