Central Valley drivers could face delays on Highway 99 in coming days due to roadwork, according to Caltrans.<\/p>\n

Crews will close select on-ramps, off-ramps and a couple of lanes for reasons ranging from landscaping to pavement and guardrail repairs, the California Department of Transportation announced via social media.<\/p>\n

\u201cMotorists should plan accordingly,\u201d Caltrans said in a Facebook post on Tuesday, March 3.<\/p>\n

When will Highway 99 ramps, lane close in Fresno? Where?<\/p>\n

Several Highway 99 ramps<\/a> will close in Fresno starting Wednesday, March 4, according to Caltrans.<\/p>\n

Caltrans closed the northbound Highway 99 on-ramp at North Avenue on Wednesday due to \u201cpavement repairs,\u201d the state roads agency said on Facebook, with roadwork expected to last through 2:15 p.m.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, March 5, Caltrans will close the auxiliary lane along southbound Highway 99 from the Belmont Avenue on-ramp to just south of Teilman Avenue for pump plant maintenance.<\/p>\n

That stretch of the road will be blocked to traffic from 8 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Thursday, Caltrans said.<\/p>\n

The southbound on-ramp at Belmont Avenue will also close for pump plant maintenance during that time, according to Caltrans.<\/p>\n

Which exits are closing on Highway 99?<\/p>\n

Caltrans is also closing a trio of Highway 99 exits<\/a> in Fresno for \u201clandscaping operations,\u201d the state roads agency said in a separate Facebook post on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The northbound Highway 99 off-ramp at Olive Avenue will remain closed until 3 p.m. Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Caltrans will close the southbound Highway 99 off-ramp at Olive Avenue on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.<\/p>\n

The northbound Highway 99 off-ramp at McKinley Avenue will close on Friday, March 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the agency said.<\/p>\n

When and where are Madera County road closures?<\/p>\n

Caltrans said roadwork could also impact drivers in Madera County.<\/p>\n

Crews will close the No. 1 lane of southbound Highway 99<\/a> from Avenue 9 to Avenue 8 overnight for guardrail repairs, according to a Tuesday Facebook post.<\/p>\n

The closure is scheduled to start at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday and conclude at 4 a.m. Thursday.<\/p>\n

How long will freeway construction last?<\/p>\n

Highway 99 closures in both areas may last longer than scheduled each day depending on weather or \u201cuncontrollable events that may occur during maintenance,\u201d Caltrans said, adding that the scheduled roadwork is \u201cweather permitting.\u201d<\/p>\n

The agency reminded drivers to take \u201cextra care and allow for additional travel time\u201d while traveling in the area.<\/p>\n
