Southern Californians should prepare for strong Santa Ana winds over the next several days.<\/p>\n
Weather officials say strong winds<\/a>, ranging from 20 \u2013 30 mph to 50 mph in wind-prone areas, will impact Los Angeles and Ventura counties.<\/p>\n There is a \u201cpotential for a stronger event with gusts of 60-75 mph,\u201d from Friday through Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.<\/p>\n \u2018Strong\u2019 to \u2018severe\u2019 marine heatwave growing off the California coast <\/a><\/p>\n The strongest winds will happen between 9 p.m. Wednesday to 9 a.m. Thursday, which could lead to downed trees, power outages, hazardous driving conditions, and seas.<\/p>\n High wind warnings for various areas, including the Ventura County mountains, I-5 corridor, Santa Barbara mountains, San Gabriel mountains, and Malibu coast, will be in place until Thursday morning, according to NWS.<\/a><\/p>\n Residents impacted by the warnings are urged to \u201cremain in the lower levels of their home, avoid windows, and watch for falling debris.\u201d<\/p>\n
