As strikes and counterstrikes continue in the Middle East, the U.S. government is urging Americans there to leave. But a woman from San Francisco living in Dubai said she\u2019s getting conflicting messaging.<\/p>\n
Lisa Thompson, an American from San Francisco who is living in Dubai with her family, described the sound of drones flying over her house.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt sounded like an army of lawn mowers or blowers going down the street and the sound just got really, really intense,\u201d Thompson said.<\/p>\n
She says it is a frightening and confusing time, with the U.S. government telling citizens to leave, but many countries in the Middle East\u00a0also closing their airspace.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe information we\u2019ve received from the U.S. has been pretty poor,\u201d Thompson said.<\/p>\n
The White House said it\u2019s working to get Americans home by chartering flights.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe’ve also opened up space available seats as C 17s and other airplanes come in to try to help folks get out,\u201d Joint Chiefs of Staff Chmn. Dan Caine said.<\/p>\n
