While full plan details have not yet been made public, preliminary information indicates plans to build 42 new residential units across the three buildings.<\/p>\n<p>The project will require the demolition of the existing residential structures, making way for the significantly larger replacement buildings. The development plans to use a density bonus application to push through a higher residential density than previously approved for the site.<\/p>\n<p>The neighborhood around the site is largely residential and comparatively low-density, but the increased transportation needs for the units are supported by nearby access to the Interstate 80 freeway and local bus lines along Grand Avenue.
