Visit Anaheim has recently hosted several key Brisbane and Gold Coast based trade and media partners for a quintessentially Gold Coast themed event. \u00a0<\/p>\n
Hosted by Visit Anaheim Australian representative, Michael Cassis, as well as visiting International Tourism Director, Michael Young, the two \u201cM&M\u2019s\u201d took key Brisbane, Gold Coast and Northern NSW based trade and media partners for an unforgettable day soaking up the sun of Australia\u2019s Gold Coast.<\/p>\n
The Visit Anaheim team were joined by the local Melbourne based Disneyland Resort in California team, along with visiting Anaheim based businesses including the JW Marriott Anaheim Resort, the Howard Johnson by Wyndham Anaheim Hotel & Water Playground, Warner Bros Studio Tours, and Karmel Connect.<\/p>\n
The full day event took Brisbane and Gold Coast based businesses on an epic adventure through the Gold Coast including a spectacular sailing adventure on the Broadwater, complete with private chef, and a stunning beachside cocktail and canapes finale, showcasing Anaheim\u2019s own signature cocktail, the Meihana (Anaheim backwards), made popular by Anaheim\u2019s James Beard nominated tiki bar, Strong Water.<\/p>\n
Along the journey, Anaheim partners shared key updates from the destination, including the upcoming first stage debut of Anaheim\u2019s new OCVIBE entertainment and dining precinct, set to open later this year, along with the arrival of Bluey and Bingo to Disneyland Resort later this month.<\/p>\n
Popular Aussie favourite, the Howard Johnson Anaheim, shared news of their upcoming renovations, set to commence on their current economy rooms from April, bringing new larger occupancy rooms for travelling families by 2027.\u00a0 And the JW Marriott Anaheim Resort shared highlights of their luxury offerings, including their stunning rooftop bar, Parkestry, and their serene JW Garden, offering the perfect escape from the excitement of the Disneyland Resort.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, long-term Australian market supporters Karmel Connect shared updates from their touring and transportation products, including their new LA Day Tour options in conjunction with Starline Tours, offering Anaheim hotel guests the chance to explore more of LA in an easy day-tour from Anaheim.\u00a0 Whilst the iconic Warner Bros Studios Tour shared updates from their new exhibits, including costumes and props from Academy Award nominee Sinners, and last year\u2019s smash hit, Superman.\u00a0 These new additions join existing favourites, including The Big Bang Theory and Friends sets.<\/p>\n
2026 is set to be an exciting year for Anaheim with the Anaheim Ducks currently looking strong for playoffs run later this month, before the Los Angeles-Anaheim Angels return for another MLB season in April.\u00a0 And with neighbouring LA set to host 8 games for the upcoming FIFA World Cup this June and July, Anaheim continues to offer the perfect base of stay for those looking to be close to the action, but still looking for larger accommodation offerings, and strong value for money.<\/p>\n
