The Campbell Union School District will host its annual Art, Innovation, and Music (AIM) Showcase on March 11.<\/p>\n

Organizers say it\u2019s \u201can opportunity for students to display what they have learned over the course of the school year with their AIM teachers.\u201d<\/p>\n

At this year\u2019s event, Santa Clara County D4 Supervisor Susan Ellenberg will present a proclamation to CUSD \u201cfor its hard work and dedication to science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM).\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition, 10 student art pieces will be selected to display on the 10th floor of the County building, located at 70 W. Hedding St. in San Jose.<\/p>\n

Congressman raises concerns with Iran strikes<\/p>\n

On Saturday, Congressman Sam Liccardo (CA-16) released a statement, following America\u2019s attacks on Iran.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery President who sends our women and men into battle has the constitutional and moral duty to clearly identify and explain the objective of war. \u201cA dictatorial and murderous regime governs Iran. Yet Trump\u2019s war on Iran painfully reflects an ignorance about the cost of war, and a myopia about those objectives.\u201d<\/p>\n

Liccardo said Trump justified last year\u2019s attacks on Iran by claiming that he \u201cobliterated\u201d Iran\u2019s nuclear capabilities, but said, by that logic, the current action is unnecessary.<\/p>\n

\u201cTrump urges regime change, yet no mere bombing campaign\u2014no matter how horrific or brutal\u2014can deliver that outcome,\u201d he said. \u201cIn Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam, and even Venezuela, history shows that regime change requires a far more protracted engagement than the American public will support.\u201d<\/p>\n

Troops, allies and innocent Iranian civilians will suffer, and many will die, he added.<\/p>\n

\u201cAmericans deserve the truth, and Congress cannot continue to acquiesce to the unconstitutional expansion of presidential war powers,\u201d he said. \u201cCongress must act immediately on a war powers resolution to reassert its authority under Article I of the Constitution.\u201d<\/p>\n

Los Gatos Kiwanis Club will hold a wine tasting on Thursday, March 26, from 5-7pm, at Gali Vineyards, as it seeks new members.<\/p>\n

The group meets four times a month (including interesting speakers at least twice a month), upcoming event discussions and fun activities like Barracuda Games, bocce ball, a monthly division get-together with area clubs, gala events, national and international conventions, and even serving drinks at the PGA AT&T in Pebble Beach.<\/p>\n

CUSD presents Alice in Wonderland<\/p>\n

Campbell Union School District will present a \u201cwhimsical musical journey down the rabbit hole\u201d with a production of Disney\u2019s Alice in Wonderland Jr., starring the talented students of Campbell School of Innovation and Monroe Middle School.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis unforgettable adventure is filled with curious characters, catchy tunes, and magical mayhem,\u201d CUSD said in a release.<\/p>\n

The show is based on the 1951 Disney film \u201cAlice in Wonderland\u201d and the novels The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll.<\/p>\n
