A pedestrian died and a scooter rider was taken to the hospital after a collision with a vehicle in San Francisco Thursday night, police said.<\/p>\n
The collision happened at about 10:42 p.m. in the area of Kearny and Broadway streets in the city’s North Beach neighborhood, according to police.<\/p>\n
Responding officers found the pedestrian, the scooter rider and the driver at the scene. The pedestrian, a man, died at the scene, police said. The scooter rider, also a man, was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
The driver cooperated with investigators, police said. Alcohol and\/or drugs do not appear to have played a roll in the collision.<\/p>\n
An investigation is underway.<\/p>\n
