With Brandon Aiyuk out<\/a>, and the quarter of Jauan Jennings<\/a>, Kendrick Bourne<\/a>, Skyy Moore<\/a> and Trent Taylor<\/a> set to hit the market at the start of the new league year, the San Francisco 49ers<\/a> need wide receivers.<\/p>\n

Right now, their 2026 room includes Ricky Pearsall, Demarcus Robinson, Jordan Watkins, Jacob Cowing, Malik Turner, Junior Bergen and Colton Dowell. That’s simply not enough to be a legitimate threat to defenses in 2026.<\/p>\n

In recent weeks, there have been plenty of rumors that San Francisco will target Romeo Doubs in free agency, and 49ers<\/a> cornerback Deommodore Lenoir is clearly in favor of that decision, as he posted his thoughts on his Instagram story.<\/p>\n

Doubs, 25, played collegiately at Nevada from 2018-21, earning All-Mountain West honors twice before the Green Bay Packers<\/a> took him in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL draft. Over the last four years, he’s caught 202 passes for 2,424 yards and 21 touchdowns.<\/p>\n

Lenoir and Doubs are just one year apart and were raised in Los Angeles, with the former playing at Bishop Mora Salesian High School and the latter playing at Thomas Jefferson High School.<\/p>\n

Reuniting these two in San Francisco would certainly give the 49ers a better chance of competing next year.<\/p>\n
