{"id":210854,"date":"2026-03-08T23:00:07","date_gmt":"2026-03-08T23:00:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/210854\/"},"modified":"2026-03-08T23:00:07","modified_gmt":"2026-03-08T23:00:07","slug":"organized-retail-theft-operation-busted-in-bay-area","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/210854\/","title":{"rendered":"Organized Retail Theft Operation Busted In Bay Area"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SAN JOSE, CA \u2014 Three people were arrested in Santa Clara County last week on allegations of running an organized retail theft operation out of two residences in San Jose.<\/p>\n<p>An enforcement operation by the Santa Clara County Sheriff&#8217;s Office recovered about $88,500 worth of allegedly stolen merchandise from TJ Maxx and Target stores, according to a statement from the Sheriff&#8217;s Office on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The residences were allegedly being used to store the merchandise before reselling it. Images shared by the Sheriff&#8217;s Office showed jeans, perfume and handbags among the allegedly stolen items. The Sheriff&#8217;s Office said $10,000 in cash was also recovered.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation began when store detectives at TJ Maxx accused the suspects of repeatedly robbing stores around the Bay Area and selling the goods at flea markets.<\/p>\n<p>Two suspects were arrested during the serving of a search warrant by the Sheriff&#8217;s Office, while a third was already in state custody, according to the Sheriff&#8217;s Office.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2026 Bay City News, Inc.
