DALY CITY, Calif. – Led by standout performances from Keshav “KC” Mungali<\/a> and Ivan Barahona<\/a>, the San Jos\u00e9 State men\u2019s golf team sits in a tie for seventh place after the first two rounds of The Desimone Invitational at Lake Merced Golf Club.<\/p>\n

The Spartans combined for a 13-under-par 563, placing them ahead of six ranked programs, including No. 4 Texas.<\/p>\n

Leaderboard Highlights<\/p>\n

Mungali & Barahona (T6th): Both golfers finished the day at 7-under-par (137). Mungali surged in the second round with a 67, featuring an eagle and four birdies. Barahona opened strong with a 67 of his own and added an eagle in round two to maintain his position near the top of the leaderboard.
\nAvinash Iyer<\/a> (T28th): Iyer remained consistent, carding a 3-under 141 (69-72) to stay inside the top 30.
\nXuan Luo<\/a> (T70th): After an opening 76, Luo bounced back in the second round with an even-par 72 to finish at 4-over (148).
\nJed Dy<\/a> (T76th): Dy finished the day at 5-over (149) after rounds of 76 and 73.
\nItai Cohen<\/a> (Individual): Competing as an individual, Cohen carded rounds of 78 and 76.<\/p>\n
