\n Inside the historic Sacramento Memorial Auditorium, built in 1927
\n as a shining hallowed tribute to honor the region\u2019s war dead,
\n music is playing. From the balcony comes the light and airy
\n refrain of a flute; aside the stage, a deep and resonant cello
\n plays; and in the doorway, the rich and mellow tones of a bassoon
\n can be heard.\n<\/p>\n

\n Once this venerable hall was rocked by such bands as The Rolling
\n Stones, The Beach Boys, the Eagles and Grateful Dead. But for
\n several days in February, it was filled with music from 10
\n different musicians playing 10 different instruments from the
\n Sacramento Philharmonic & Opera.\n<\/p>\n

\n Each one accompanied a woman honored for Comstock\u2019s 2026 Women in
\n Leadership issue. The women, who come from the world of health
\n care, technology, caretaking, public relations and other
\n professions, arrived resplendent in gowns and formal pantsuits.
\n As the music played, they danced, twirled, laughed and smiled.\n<\/p>\n

\n Photographer Francisco Chavira used the stunning architectural
\n features of the auditorium to capture the glamour of the women.
\n The massive Grecian columns were illuminated in gold and purple
\n to provide a colorful backdrop. Everyone involved had a wonderful
\n time, excited as though they were going to an actual symphony.\n<\/p>\n

\n \u201cThese things are just fun, to partner with such a renowned
\n institution like Comstock\u2019s magazine to do this and celebrate
\n women leadership, flanked by musicians, professional musicians of
\n the Philharmonic & Opera. It\u2019s just fun. We always love kind of
\n getting ourselves out there,\u201d says CEO Giuliano Kornberg. To
