TROY, Mich. (WJRT) – Jacquan Coreyonteliace Burks-Burnett, a 32-year-old resident of Flint, has been charged with robbing a bank branch in Oakland County earlier this week.<\/p>\n

Burks-Burnett allegedly walked into a Fifth Bank branch at 2282 Big Beaver Road near the Somerset Mall on Tuesday wearing a facemask, gloves and yellow glasses. He is accused of demanding money from two tellers.<\/p>\n

Witnesses said Burks-Burnett then walked to the Somerset mall parking lot and left in a vehicle, which did not have a license plate visible. Authorities used Flock camera images to identify and locate Burks-Burnett.<\/p>\n

\u201cBank robberies are traumatizing and dangerous experiences for both tellers and customers,\u201d McDonald said. \u201cLaw enforcement worked quickly to locate this defendant and he will be held accountable.\u201d<\/p>\n

Burks-Burnett remained in custody Friday at the Oakland County Jail on $50,000 bond after he was arraigned on a bank robbery charge. He faces up to life or any term of years in prison if he is convicted.<\/p>\n
