Disneyland is already home to the world\u2019s first Hoppers attraction less than a week after the new Pixar film became a box office smash and a much-needed win for the studio that hasn\u2019t had a bonafide original animated hit since \u201cCoco.\u201d<\/p>\n

Walt Disney Imagineering and Disney Live Entertainment have created a limited-time Hoppers attraction overlay at the \u202fRedwood Creek Challenge Trail in Disney California Adventure<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Pixar\u2019s \u201cHoppers\u201d opened over the weekend to $88 million at the global box office, the biggest launch for an original animated film since \u201cCoco<\/a>\u201d in 2017, according to the Associated Press.<\/p>\n

\u201cHoppers\u201d follows the adventures of animal-lover Mabel Tanaka who uses a janky yet powerful new technology to transfer her consciousness into a lifelike robotic beaver and communicate with other animals in the wild.<\/p>\n

The animated film features the voice talents of Piper Curda (Mabel Tanaka), Bobby Moynihan (King George), Jon Hamm (Mayor Jerry Generazzo), Melissa Villasenor (Ellen Bear), Eduardo Franco (Loaf), Dave Franco (Insect Prince) and Meryl Streep (Insect Queen).<\/p>\n

DCA visitors receive a keepsake map filled with Hoppers-related challenges along the trail and a King George, Ellen Bear, Insect Queen or Tom Lizard sticker when they complete the course.<\/p>\n

The adventure begins when visitors stand atop Hopper technology panels on the ground that \u201ctransform\u201d them into animals from the film.<\/p>\n

The treasure hunt challenges include reducing high-frequency waves in the forest that endanger wildlife, decoding a secret message from Tom Lizard and finding a beaver dam with Mabel sitting on top.<\/p>\n

DCA\u2019s Animation Academy has also added Mabel, Tom Lizard and King George to the list of characters that can be drawn in the Hollywood Land attraction.<\/p>\n

The Pixar Place Hotel Art Gallery is hosting a Hoppers exhibit that traces the film\u2019s creative journey with early sketches, concept art and character maquettes that helped shape the film.<\/p>\n
