Throughout his six-year career with the Chicago Bears (2019-20), New York Jets (2021), Carolina Panthers (2022-24) and 49ers (2025), he has appeared in 84 games where he connected on 139 of his 155 field goal attempts (89.7-percent) and 150 of his 163 extra point attempts (92.0-percent). His career field goal percentage (89.7-percent) ranks second in NFL history among qualifying kickers (100 field goals made).<\/p>\n<p>In 2025, Pi\u00f1eiro signed with the 49ers as a free agent and went on to appear in 14 games where he connected on 28 of his 29 field goal attempts (96.6-percent) and 34 of his 38 extra point attempts (89.5-percent). His 96.6 field goal percentage marked the second-highest single season field goal percentage in franchise history. Pi\u00f1eiro connected on each of his first 25 field goal attempts with the team, the most consecutive field goals made by a kicker to begin their first season with the 49ers. He also appeared in two postseason contests where he connected on all three of his field goal attempts (100.0-percent) and two of his three extra point attempts (66.7-percent).<\/p>\n<p>A 30-year-old native of Miami, FL, Pi\u00f1eiro attended the University of Florida for two years (2016-17), where he appeared in 24 games and connected on 38 of his 43 field goal attempts (88.4-percent) and 56 of his 58 extra point attempts (96.6-percent).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The San Francisco 49ers today announced they have signed K Eddy Pi\u00f1eiro to a four-year extension.
