Olympic gold medalist Alysa Liu<\/a> got a hero\u2019s welcome in her hometown Thursday — with Oakland handing the figure skating superstar the Key to the City during a massive celebration packed with Bay Area royalty.<\/p>\n

The event — emceed by legendary radio personality Sway Calloway<\/a> — brought together a who\u2019s who of the Bay\u2019s sports and music worlds to honor the 20-year-old after her historic performance at the 2026 Winter Olympics.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Among those showing love were Bay Area music stars G\u2011Eazy<\/a>, P\u2011Lo, Kehlani <\/a>and Jwalt … while Olympic legends Andre Ward<\/a>, Brian Boitano<\/a> and Kristi Yamaguchi <\/a>also congratulated Liu on the huge achievement.<\/p>\n

Even the Warriors\u2019 Steve Kerr <\/a>and Stephen Curry <\/a>joined the celebration with a special message praising Liu for representing Oakland and the Bay Area on the world stage.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlysa, congratulations on your gold medal achievement representing not only the United States, but the Bay Area, Oakland,\u201d Curry said in a video message. \u201cSuper proud. Congratulations. You did that. From one gold medal winner to another, keep doing your thing, keep representing the Bay and we love you.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Liu took the stage in front of thousands of fans, she admitted she hadn\u2019t planned any formal remarks — but the hometown crowd didn\u2019t seem to mind.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh my god, thank y\u2019all,\u201d Liu said. \u201cThis is for y\u2019all. I don\u2019t have a speech prepared, but I don\u2019t need one.\u201d<\/p>\n

Instead, the Olympic champ kept it heartfelt, telling fans she\u2019s proud to represent the city she\u2019s called home her entire life.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love Oakland. I\u2019ve been here all my life,\u201d Liu said. \u201cI literally walk through here every day to get to City Center for lunch from the rink over there. I could not be more proud to represent Oakland out on the big stage at the Olympics,\u201d Liu said. \u201cAnd I want to thank y\u2019all for the support and the love. I feel it.\u201d<\/p>\n

She later added \u2026 \u201cY\u2019all better turn the f*** up!\u201d<\/p>\n
