A 39-year-old Bakersfield woman was arrested on suspicion of multiple felonies and\u00a0warrants\u00a0that span three different counties on Wednesday evening, according to an official with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff\u2019s Station.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Around 6 p.m., the suspect was arrested on suspicion of felony burglary, felony identity theft and felony auto theft, Shirley Miller,\u00a0spokeswoman\u00a0with the station, wrote in an email statement.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The suspect allegedly broke into lockers at multiple gyms and stole\u00a0personal\u00a0property,\u00a0and in some cases, she\u00a0reportedly used\u00a0victims\u2019 keys taken from the lockers to steal their vehicles, Miller\u2019s statement said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Miller added in a follow-up phone interview that the woman was booked at the SCV Sheriff\u2019s Station\u00a0after being\u00a0arrested in Bakersfield and transported back to the SCV.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Through the combined efforts of the\u00a0SCV Sheriff\u2019s Station\u2019s\u00a0Crime Impact Team,\u00a0Special Assignment\u00a0Team\u00a0and detectives, they were able\u00a0to\u00a0locate\u00a0the suspect, Miller said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
She said that the woman\u00a0was suspected\u00a0in incidents\u00a0at four different gyms in the area and has done\u00a0it in other areas,\u00a0too.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Detectives began\u00a0working and\u00a0noticing the locker thefts dating back\u00a0from\u00a0July 2025 to last month, Miller said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The suspect had at least 11 warrants from three\u00a0separate\u00a0counties, Miller said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
