FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — If going to the park with your children or walking your dog at a certain time of the day is routine for you, be ready to notice a shift in the weather.<\/p>\n
Every day in March has had above-average temperatures.<\/p>\n
On Sunday, the Central Valley experienced a day 13 degrees above normal.<\/p>\n
It’s a warming trend that is not expected to change any time soon.<\/p>\n
“We could see not only record highs not only for the daily temperature, but potentially the monthly temperature,” says Stephen McCoy with the National Weather Service.<\/p>\n
According to the National Weather Service, we typically experience warmer days at the end of March and early April, not in the second week of March.<\/p>\n
Dr. Praveen Buddiga says sudden shifts in the forecast also means sudden shifts to the body.<\/p>\n
“Our body has a significant challenge to basically acclimatize or adapt to the change in temperature from cold to hot,” he said.<\/p>\n
Buddiga suggests you pay attention to any changes you might feel this month, including headaches, migraines, fatigue or brain fog.<\/p>\n
He says the symptoms should not last for longer than 48 hours but is normal this time of year.<\/p>\n
Dr. Buddiga says the biggest piece of advice is to stay hydrated and make the adjustments necessary for your well-being.<\/p>\n
“Definitely try and find a good, comfortable temperature,” he said.<\/p>\n
Dr. Budigga reminds parents to dress their children appropriately for the warmer afternoons and to remind little ones to drink plenty of water as well.<\/p>\n
